So, I’m feeling better, just went back to village for a couple of
quick nights. It was probably my best visit in village. I hung out and
watched the world cup, and am actually very disappointed I won’t be
there when the US plays Ghana, I think it would be the most fun. I was
watching the game yesterday, a ton of people crowded under this little
hangar, and I got this place at the back where I could just see over
people’s shoulders. After a few minutes of that someone brought me a
stool to stand on. And then at halftime I found my colleagues there
and they kicked a student out to give me a seat. hee hee, it was lots
of fun. They were all making fun of me during the US game, I kept
cheering, and they would normally just be neutral. I’m here this week
for theater training, we have a welcome dinner tonight and then it
goes from like 8 in the morning until 7 in the evening all week this
week – what! It sounds like I might actually be working. The girls are
still playing lots of soccer, they have started hounding me if I don’t
show up with a ball.
The only other crazy story is going to the dentist. Usually when they
try and start up the conversation mid clean it’s not so bad, but this
was a crazy Brazilian, and it was all in french. After the power
washing the power sanding was painful. But yes, still alive, and now
with clean teeth.
Cool, I just wanted to share these pictures I took last night of
people hanging out in Kirsi, one is of Aissa the lady who takes care
of me. I hope all is going well for everyone!
